Biografia

KILUANJI KIA HENDA, nasceu em 1979 em Angola. Vive e trabalha em Luanda, Angola. O interesse de Kia Henda pelas artes visuais surge por ter crescido num meio de entusiastas da fotografia. A ligação com a música e o teatro de vanguarda, fizeram parte da sua formação conceptual, tal como a colaboração com colectivos de artistas em Luanda. 

 

Participou em vários programas de residências em cidades como Veneza, Cidade do Cabo, Paris, Amman e Sharjah, entre outras.

Em 2012, Kia Henda ganhou o Prémio Nacional da Cultura e Artes, outorgado pelo Ministério da Cultura de Angola, e em 2014 foi selecionado entre 100 Leading Global Thinkers pela prestigiada revista norte-americana Foreign Politics. Em 2017, venceu o frieze Artist Award.
